Faith & Blue is an annual event hosted by the Holbrook Police Department and local houses of worship in observation of National Faith & Blue Weekend.
The event is part of the nationwide Faith & Blue initiative which is designed to facilitate safer and stronger communities by engaging law enforcement officers and local residents through the connections of faith-based organizations.
At the event, community members are able to see demonstrations from our K-9 and Drone Units. The Police Department also includes fun activities for the whole family including bounce houses, kids-crafts, and more. The event is always free and open to all.
About National Faith & Blue Weekend (NFBW)
Faith & Blue was inaugurated in 2020 by MovementForward, Inc., working with the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) at the U.S. Department of Justice. National Faith & Blue Weekend is an extension of the One Congregation One Precinct initiative (OneCOP), a program of MovementForward, Inc., which is a bridge-building, solutions-focused human and civil rights organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. The OneCOP initiative pairs together officers at the beat or precinct level with local faith-based organizations.
During the 2021 Faith & Blue weekend, 2,000-plus engagements were held in communities across the country.
