Community Outreach Program

The Holbrook Police Department’s Community Outreach Program features various events and services meant to strengthen ties with Holbrook residents. Parts of the program include giving rides to a young student to and from school every other Wednesday and a birthday party at the police station once a month for an elementary school student including cake at the station and a police escort from school to the station. Additionally, the Community Outreach Officer will be responsible for organizing community forums, setting up neighborhood watches, and meeting with families who have been affected by the opioid epidemic.

Officer Szczesny also welcomes teens to sign up for the department’s Junior Police Academy. The academy is open to students entering sixth and seventh grade. Those who attend will take part in classroom sessions with lectures, see demonstrations by police officers from various areas of law enforcement, learn drug awareness and first responder skills, as well as take part in physical training sessions and field trips. Registration for the 2022 Holbrook Junior Police Academy is open through June 29, 2022. Applications are available online or at the front desk of the police station. Check out our junior academy fact sheet for more information.
