Holbrook Police Charge Reputed Drug Dealer

HOLBROOK — Chief William Smith reports that an alleged drug dealer and trafficker was arrested over the weekend.

Holbrook Police responded to a location on Longmeadow Drive for a report of a suspicious event. Upon arrival, police developed information that an individual may be in possession of a firearm and that he allegedly pointed the firearm at another person at that location. Police located and detained the suspect, identified as RASHAD KNIGHT-SIMON, AGE 28, OF HOLBROOK and Holbrook Police Detectives applied for and received a search warrant for his residence at that location on Longmeadow Drive.

Searching the suspect’s residence, police located 30 rounds of 5.7x22mm ammunition as well as a variety of drugs and drug paraphernalia including 400 grams of cocaine, 1200 grams of marijuana packed in bags, a quantity of pressed pills later determined to be fentanyl, numerous scales and $32,000 in cash, which was seized as alleged proceeds from narcotics sales.

KNIGHT-SIMON was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Trafficking 200 or More Grams of a Class B Substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a Class A Substance
  • Possession of a Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card

KNIGHT-SIMON was held pending arraignment Monday at Quincy District Court.

“This is a fine example of responsive police work,” Chief Smith said. “Drug dealers and drug traffickers profit from human misery and suffering, and we will continue to be very aggressive in how we respond to those who bring drugs into our community.”

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
