Holbrook Police To Host ‘Stuff-A-Cruiser’ Toy Drive During Town’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

HOLBROOK — Chief William Smith would like to invite community members to join the Holbrook Police Department at its upcoming ‘Stuff-A-Cruiser’ event to collect gifts for families in need.

WHEN:
Saturday, Dec. 11 beginning at 5 p.m.

WHERE:
Holbrook Town Hall, 50 North Franklin St.

WHAT:
During the Town of Holbrook’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting event, the Holbrook Police Department will be collecting toys for those in need this holiday season.

Holbrook Police will be accepting new, unwrapped toys and gift cards. Once collected, gifts will be placed into the back of Holbrook Police cruisers. All gifts collected will be donated to Holbrook Santa, a volunteer program that provides Christmas gifts for Holbrook’s children.

Additionally, Santa Claus will be at the event to greet those in attendance and take photos.

The event is held outside. Residents are encouraged, but not required, to wear a mask or face covering, and to practice social distancing when dropping off their items to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

“The holidays are a time of giving and spreading cheer, and Holbrook Police would like to do our part in helping out those who could use some additional assistance this holiday season,” Chief Smith said. “We encourage anyone who is able to donate to contribute to our drive and join us in our effort to ensure that all kids have a toy to open.”
