HOLBROOK — Chief David Del Papa reports that the Holbrook Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying a vehicle that investigators now believe was involved in a crash that injured a 15-year-old girl last week.
Through the ongoing investigation, Holbrook Police have ruled out a vehicle previously identified as a vehicle of interest.
Investigators have since obtained additional photo and video evidence of a charcoal-colored minivan that police believe was involved in the crash. The vehicle is believed to be a Chrysler Pacifica.
The vehicle may have a white scuff mark or bumper sticker on the left side of its rear bumper.
Investigators determined that the minivan turned from Beach Road onto South Street toward Spring Street at approximately 2:24 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, shortly after the pedestrian was struck.
Police are seeking to identify the vehicle and its owner or operator as part of the ongoing investigation.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the area of 10 North Shore Road. A 15-year-old girl was struck while walking home from a nearby bus stop. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
